National baseline assessment on the business responsibility to respect human rights (UNGPs Pillar 2) in Zambia.

This project supports the implementation of the UN Guiding Principles on Human Rights and Business (UNGPs) at the national level.

We collaborated with L’Oréal, the world’s largest cosmetics company, to support the mainstreaming of human rights in the Group’s operations.

The purpose of the project is to encourage stakeholder initiatives addressing the business and human rights issues identified in the Country Guide.

The project aimed at strengthening local actors’ capacity to influence business and human rights issues in Tanzania and Kenya.

The Country Guide provided country-specific guidance to help companies respect human rights and raise awareness of human rights issues.

After supporting the Georgian National Action Plan process in 2016 and 2017, the Danish Institute for Human Rights has currently renewed its collaboration with the Office of Public Defender in Georgia to deepen joint work on business and human rights.

Between 2010 and 2020, the Danish Institute for Human Rights collaborated with Nestlé on the company’s commitment to respecting human rights.

We are developing several tools and resources on human rights and impact assessment in the business and human rights context.

Danish Institute for Human Rights supports a National Action Plan on Human Rights and Business in Colombia.
