Research on institutions

Research area: Institutions

The international strategy of the Institute seeks to strengthen public institutions, which contribute to improving human rights. A significant effort is focused on national human rights institutions, while other efforts focus on the central or local civil service and judicial institutions.

In order to promote the development of national human rights systems in partner countries, the Institute needs insights into the mandate of the public institutions, their interactions and effectiveness.

At the national level, the theme of institutions is relevant in relation to the role of the Institute as a national human rights institution.
