Accessibility
The Danish Institute for Human Rights monitors, promotes and protects the implementation of the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (CRPD).
The task entails a special responsibility for being accessible. Consequently, we must comply with the CRPD’s accessibility and universal design requirements. This applies to our physical facilities, as well as our websites, publications, events, etc.
Physical accessibility
Physical accessibility means that persons with various disabilities should be able to access and find their way around the Institute’s buildings – to participate in our events and meetings and to work. Hence, the Institute’s surroundings should provide optimum accessibility for as many people as possible.
Parking at Wilders Plads
Wilders Plads, where the Danish Institute for Human Rights is situated, belongs to the parking company, OnePark. There are assigned parking spaces for cars with disability licenses.
However, if you come by car with a disability license, you may park in the specially reserved spaces as well as all other free spaces in the Wilders Plads area. After parking, you just have to go to the reception on the 1st floor in Wilders Plads 8K, where you will get a digital temporary parking permit made for your car.
If you have any questions prior to your visit, please contact the reception at tel. +45 3269 8888 or at info@humanrights.dk.
Accessible communications products
Both in print and digitally, we do our best to ensure accessibility, for example if you use screen reader or have impaired vision.
Our websites follow the web content accessibility guidelines (the socalled WCAG 2.1), and we regularly make accessibility checks on our websites and when developing new digital initiatives. Please find our accessibility declaration - in Danish - here (opens a new tab).
We also strive to make the pdf versions of our publications etc. accessible for screen readers. If you experience any problems, please contact Digital Editor Stine Juhl Nielsen on stni@humanrights.dk.
