Through seminars, conferences and knowledge exchange the Network seeks to stimulate human rights research in Denmark.

The Network for human rights researchers in Denmark is open to all researchers and students with an interest in human rights. Through seminars, conferences and knowledge exchange the Network seeks to stimulate human rights research in Denmark and encourage cooperation and communication among researchers.

Purpose

The purpose of the network is to connect human rights researchers in Denmark; to organise joint events and activities; to facilitate mutual sparring, communication and information-sharing; and to encourage cooperation and network more generally among researchers working in human rights or adjacent fields.

Activities

We run a mailing list. Members can use the list toe.g. share information, start a discussion, or advertise events ask for advice, ideas or information. Posts can be written in either Danish or English. Please write to Marie Juul Petersen, mape@humanrights.dk if you want to sign up for the mailing list.

We organise seminars.

The steering group

The steering group consists in representatives from various Danish research institutions and universities, including Aalborg University, Aarhus University, University of Southern Denmark, The Danish Centre of Applied Social Science (VIVE), University of Copenhagen and the Danish Institute for Human Rights.

The Institute's role in the network

The Network for Human Rights Researchers in Denmark is anchored at the Danish Institute for Human Rights.
