Islam, aid and human rights

Based on empirical case studies of international Muslim NGOs and intergovernmental organisations engaged in development and humanitarian aid, the project analyses the ways in which these organisations apply discourses of human rights in their work, pointing to areas of contention, commonality and complementarity between Islamic traditions of aid and international human rights principles.
