International military operations

In recent years, Denmark has pursued an active foreign and security policy and has been involved in a number of international military operations.I

Almost all Danish military operations are joint military operations that are carried out together with allied forces. It raises a number of questions in relation to e.g. state responsibility. These questions was discussed in the so-called Green Desert case, which in 2019-2020 is pending in the Danish Supreme Court.

This project looks at state responsibility in joint military operations. Moreover, it analyses whether the UN's UPR mechanism can function as effective international monitoring of armed conflict situations.
