Legal Security in municipalities

A study of legal certainty in the municipalities with a focus on human rights obligations and the citizen.

Human rights are important at municipal level. It is largely in the municipalities that citizens meet the authorities. It is also in the municipalities that much of the human rights protection is implemented in practice.

However, there are a number of developments in society that can put pressure on legal certainty: legislation has become increasingly complex and the municipalities' economy is tight.

The Danish Institute for Human Rights has therefore examined the legal certainty in the municipalities in social cases.

This report is in Danish but contains an English summary on page 10.
