New Director for Human Rights and Development

The Danish Institute for Human Rights has appointed Claus Teilmann Petersen as the new Director of the Human Rights and Development Department as of 4 December 2017.

Claus Teilmann Petersen has extensive experience in human rights, sustainability, programming and management. Claus is currently Vice President of Group Ethics Pandora where he is responsible for developing and implementing Pandora’s Ethics and Compliance Programme.

Previously, Claus worked as a CSR Adviser at H. Lundbeck and an EUadviser for the Hungarian Government. He was also a DanidaBusiness Sector Adviser in Vietnam, where hewas stationedin the statecontrolled trade union movement–among others. Claus holds a Masters in Socio-Economic Geography from the University of Copenhagen.

“I’mhonouredto be joining the Human Rights and Development Department. Human rights and the SDGs are central to business and development, and I’m very much looking forward to building on the previous successes of the department”, says ClausTeilmannPetersen.
