What is digital learning?

Digital learning material can be anything from videos, on-demand lessons, guides and manuals to online facilitated training and learning process. On this portal you will be able to find courses by the institute that you can participate in, but most of the content is on-demand learning material that you can use whenever and wherever you need it. The content covers a number of different human rights topics and different languages.

We want to offer learning that:

  • Ensures partners and colleagues whom are new to the area of human rights become skilled contributors faster.
  • Supports the development of a common language and understanding of what human rights are.
  • Shares knowledge and practices on how human rights actors can work to protect and promote human rights.
  • Improves the skills of learners with a responsibility to teach human rights.

In order to do that, we believe that it is important to make digital learning that makes learning easily accessible, enjoyable and that impacts learners’ knowledge, attitude and behavior.

Digital learning and human rights education

Human rights education is about empowering citizens to enjoy and exercise their rights and respect and uphold the rights of others, and thereby contribute to a universal human rights culture.

Human rights education is learning about, through and for human rights. The Danish Institute for Human Rights' digital learning materials strive to do that and thereby support the many other human rights education activities.

Digital learning at the Danish Institute for Human Rights

The digital learning team works both internally with development of the institute's digital learning material and externally as experts on projects developed with or on behalf of our partners.
