Reporting in developing contexts: the role of state actors

State reporting in selected countries and analyses the relationship between national and supra-national human rights systems and actors.

This project investigates state reporting in selected countries and analyses the relationship between national and supra-national human rights systems and actors.

The purpose of the project is to understand the continuous effort that this type of reporting requires and represents, understand the necessity for national state actors to work together to secure reporting and ensure the quality of the reporting through consultation with other stakeholders.

The project provides knowledge to inform the work of the Human Rights System department. It will result in a working paper and a couple of articles, as well as teaching modules for practitioners and MA students.
