The use of solitary confinement in Denmark

There has been a sharp increase in the number of unconditional solitary confinements in Danish prisons over the past six years. At the same time, there has been an explosive increase in the number of long-term solitary confinements of 15 days or more. Preliminary figures for 2021 suggest that the high level will continue.
