Report on country experiences with HR-SDG integrated national mechanisms for implementation, reporting and follow-up

The grounding of the 2030 Agenda and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) in human rights frameworks means that there are potential synergies when it comes to reporting and following up on human rights obligations and the related SDG commitments.

The research explores whether there is potential for enhancing reporting quality and coherence, and ultimately greater accountability for 2030 implementation and perspectives for human rights realisation by connecting the structures responsible for human rights and 2030 Agenda reporting and follow-up.

This report includes case studies of select National Mechanisms for Implementation, Reporting and Follow-up (NMIRFs), which give a snapshot of activities, experiences and challenges in the integration of human rights and sustainable development. Experiences from Mauritius, Morocco, Niger, Paraguay, Portugal, Samoa, Serbia and Uruguay are captured.

The report is available below in English, Spanish and French.
