Experiences in equal pay cases

- An interview study of complainants' perspective

This study aims to gain greater insight into the process in cases of equal pay, from the complainant's perspective.

The Danish Institute for Human Rights examine the complainants' experiences in presenting a case to illustrate the possibilities of using the Equal Pay Act protection in practice. Thestudy is based on interviews with complainants who have been involved in cases of equal pay, and the employee representatives, who have advised and supported the complainants in this process.

The Danish Institute for Human Rights should as a national equality body on genderpromote equal treatment regardless of gender. We do this through conducting analyzes and studies and provide recommendations for ministries and other key stakeholders. We also assist individuals in specific cases of discrimination.
