ENEL partnership

During 2021, the Danish Institute for Human Rights (the Institute) is working with Enel S.p.A. Under this partnership, the Institute supports Enel in further developing a mainstreamed approach to managing human rights throughout the company’s operations.

Specifically, the Institute supports Enel to improve and update its human rights policy and better articulate its responsibilities vis-à-vis human rights within the policy. The Institute also works with Enel in the process of engaging with internal and external stakeholders to design a meaningful and effective approach to managing human rights risks and impacts.
 
Following the policy update, the Institute will liaise with Enel to ensure that policy recommendations are meaningfully implemented. After the partnership elapses, the parties will explore continuing to engage in a multi-stakeholder capacity as part of the Institute’s work on the green transition.
