Advancing the integration of human rights standards in environmental governance to strengthen prevention, participation, and accountability in Colombia’s licensing processes.

This project adresses the challenges from digital technology to existing legal and policy standards protecting human rights. This project will produce clear legal principles, advocacy tools, and support materials that help governments, companies, and other key actors better understand and meet their legal obligations and responsibilities under international law.

Through the MediRights project, the Danish Institute for Human Rights aims to support migration governance actors and other state institutions in aligning their work more closely with international human rights norms and standards.

National Human Rights Institutions (NHRIs) have a fundamental role in protecting and promoting human rights in the digital space. Based on the constant development of digital technologies, the NHRI Digital Rights Alliance aims to consolidate the role of NHRIs in the digital age to better protect and promote digital rights and freedoms.

How many states have adopted national human rights action plans? Building on its inventory of all national human rights action plans ever adopted, this research project investigates processes of norm diffusion, methodological evolutions as well as state engagement with national human rights action plans since the 1993 Vienna Declaration introduced the concept.
