Our response to the COVID-19 pandemic

The Danish Institute for Human Rights is devoted to take care of our staff and partners throughout the COVID-19 pandemic.

The Danish Institute for Human Rights is working to promote and protect human rights in Denmark and abroad. Globally, we are present in more than 23 countries – either through local offices or close partnerships. As the COVID-19 pandemic develops, we will do what we can to support the global efforts to reduce the spread of the virus.

As an independent state-funded Danish institution we follow directives and recommendations from the Danish government and health authorities. All staff members in Denmark currently work from home and we have suspended all travel activities and physical meetings. However, online consultations and meetings are effective and frequent.

We are in daily contact and dialogue with our local representations around the world to make sure that we follow local recommendations and regulations, and that our staff and partners are not exposed to risk or will put others to risk as a result of our activities.

Similarly, we encourage all our partners to act in accordance with regulations and guidelines from local authorities.
