2006-2008: Africa analyst at Danish Institute for Human Rights. First Field Assignment: Analysis of political situation in Malawi following concerns from Human rights observers. Fact finding mission in Liberia. Evaluation of capacity building projects in Niger, Uganda and Kenya. Assessing Human Rights education efforts in Benin.

Sept. 95 - Dec. 1998. Ph.D.-student on SEREIN (Sudano-Sahelian Environmental Research Initiative) studying institutional aspects of aid to natural resource management in the Boulgou and Seno Regions of Burkina Faso.
Sept. 93-Sept. 95. Associate expert on two UNSO-projects in Bissau, Guinea-Bissau. The first project was an attempt to support the institutional capacity of the Bissau-Guinean State in its efforts to implement rational natural resource management policies. The second project was a forestry project attempting to implement on village level rational forest resource exploitation techniques through organizing the villagers and commercialization of forest products.
March-April 1993: Consultant for "Mellemfolkeligt Samvirke", arranging a conference on EU beef exports to West Africa.
March 1989-March 1992: University studies finished in Senegal.
September 1991: Member of evaluation mission for "Church World Service" assessing the possibilities of cooperating with local NGOs in the Casamance.
June 1991: Member of evaluation mission for "Les Amis de la Maison Familiale Rurale au Danemark" in southern Senegal, evaluating small-scale fattening and ox-traction projects.
April 1990: Participant on a "Rapid Rural Appraisal" mission for Catholic Relief Service, evaluating the impact of the installation of a number of seed cereal banks on village level in Eastern Senegal.
April-August 1988: Employed as research assistant by Carl Bro International and based in Southern Niger on a second phase of a livestock development study in the Sahel to assess the potential role of livestock in integrated farming systems.
June-October 1987: Internship in two villages in Southern Niger on CBI-study to assess the role of livestock in integrated farming systems.

Vice-chaiman of "Danish Friends of Maisons Familiales Rurales in Senegal". This small Danish NGO has succeeded in obtaining a large DANIDA-grant for education and alphabetization activities within the Senegalese NGO.
Member of IBIS & Mellemfolkeligt Samvirke.
Member of Dansk Cyklistforbund.

Ph.D.-student at IDS, Roskilde. Dissertation defended in June 2000.
