Knowledge

When the Danish Institute for Human Rights was established in 1987, the slogan read: We do research, we document, we inform. We still do this as main parts of our mandate. Now we also carry out extensive education programmes and campaigns and apply our human rights knowledge and experience in our many national and international projects. According to the mandate of DIHR, we are obliged to carry out independent research and advice parliament and government. We must carry out and promote human rights education as well as information about human rights to NGOs, researchers, public institutions and the interested public. Below you can find our hearing responses to law proposals as well as the books we publish, and you can read our reports and thematic pages. In short, DIHR is a knowledge-based institution.
