The human rights and business country guide

Country-specific guidance to help companies respect human rights and raise awareness of human rights issues.

The country guides address business impacts on human rights in local contexts and were researched with local partners in the frame of a 4-year project called “Human Rights and Business Country Guide”, funded by Sida.

The country guides are compilations of publicly available information from international institutions, local NGOs, governmental agencies, businesses, media and universities, aiming to provide a comprehensive overview of the ways in which businesses do or may impact human rights in a local context.

The underlying methodology is a useful tool in National Action Plan processes, complementing National Baseline Assessments on Business and Human Rights.
