Margaret Jungk is the founder and Director of the Human Rights & Business Department at the Danish Institute for Human Rights. She specializes in operationalizing human rights standards in commercial, governmental and other organizations, including measuring human rights and social impacts, screening for violations and poor practices, monitoring accountability, and evaluating organizations’ overall performance and strategy.
Margaret holds a PhD in political science, specializing in international human rights law, from the University of Cambridge (UK, 1998), an M.Phil. in international relations from the University of Cambridge (UK, 1993), a fellowship from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem (Israel, 1991), and a BA in political science from the University of Kansas (USA, 1990).

Allan Lerberg Jørgensen advises multinational companies on the management of human rights issues within their sphere of influence. He has designed and executed human rights risk assessments, compliance assessments and training programmes for multinationals in the extractive, pharmaceutical, food, agribusiness and manufacturing industries at both corporate and project level. His experience includes risk issues and governance systems across a diverse range of corporate functions including human resources, HSE, land management, security, transparency, procurement and stakeholder relations. Jørgensen holds MA degrees in political science and international conflict analysis and has been engaged in business and globalisation issues in previous roles with the Confederation of Danish Industries and The Copenhagen Centre for Corporate Responsibility.

Marie Busck

Marie Busck has been an adviser at the Human Rights & Business Project since 2004. She has extensive experience in advising multinationals on human rights standards and integrating processes for human rights compliance and risk management into business practice. She has contributed to the development of the Human Rights Compliance Assessment, and has been responsible for the Project’s work on the Country Risk Assessment. She is currently leading work on capacity building in developing countries. Busck holds an MA in Sociology of Religion from the University of Copenhagen.

Mads Holst Jensen

Mads Holst Jensen conducts human rights & business research and develops tools to implement human rights in businesses. He is also developing, researching, facilitating and advising on dialogues, initiatives and activities concerning human rights and business in China. Based on a long and multi-faceted working experience with China, his aim is to promote a common language for CSR, encompassing Western and Chinese contexts and conceptions in order to bridge the gap between CSR ideals and Chinese realities.

Rita Roca

Rita Anne Roca is a human rights lawyer and has worked for the Danish Institute for Human Rights since 2006. At the Human Rights & Business Project, Roca oversees the online version of the Human Rights Compliance Assessment and engages in consultancy for companies. Before joining DIHR, Roca was a Danish International Development Assistance Advisor with the Uganda Courts of Judicature and a Protection Officer with the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees in Tanzania. She is a contributing author for several publications, a recently published human rights monitoring handbook published by DIHR, the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe and the Council of Europe. Roca is a member of the of New York State Bar Association and holds a juris doctor from Harvard University Law School and bachelor’s degrees in history and spanish from Stanford University.

Mike Baab is an analyst in the Human Rights and Business Project. He consults with companies on country risk, and organizes Project publicity activities. Baab holds masters degrees from Aarhus University and University College London.

Dylan Tromp

Dylan specializes in country risk assessment. He has a professional background that includes supply chain management, social labeling, humanitarian advocacy and community development program delivery, including experience within the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights. Dylan holds a Bachelor of Arts with Honors (2005) in development studies and anthropology, a Bachelor of Science (2005) in environmental science and ecology and a Master of Public and International Law (2010) with a focus on International Human Rights Law from the University of Melbourne. Dylan has a regional interest in South-East Asia.

Katja is the Operational Manager in the Human Rights and Business Project. She is responsible for developing and implementing project, time, and budget management tools and systems as well other issues related to overall administration of the Human Rights and Business. Katja holds a MSc in Social Anthropology from the University of Copenhagen.

Claire Methven O'Brien

Claire Methven O’Brien provides strategic advice to companies on achieving human rights compliance across their activities and on engaging with human rights risks and dilemmas beyond their immediate operational sphere. She also develops new dedicated tools and methodologies to address emerging issues within business sectors. From 2004-2008, Claire read for a doctoral degree at the European University Institute, Florence, focusing on transnational governance on human rights in the corporate sector. Claire is also a graduate of Cambridge University (BA), City University London (CPE), and the London School of Economics (LLM Public Law), and a member of the London Bar.

She was involved in the 2009 Specialized Human Rights Program at the American University Washington College of Law. Further more, she was an international student at the Copenhagen University.
